There are various methods used to insert contact lenses. Your doctor will instruct you in the method he thinks is the easiest and most natural for you. Regardless of method, you will have to learn to overcome the natural tendency to blink as you insert the lens.
The first step in inserting a lens is to remove it from its case and rinse it with saline; this is especially important if you use chemical disinfecting solution. Place the lens on the tip of the finger, concave side up. Since the lens is so flexible, you may have easily flipped it inside out during cleaning and rinsing.
